Method :
- Place the wholemeal flour, unsifted,
in a large bowl.
- Add all remaining ingredients, except
the sesame seeds, if using.
- Use a wooden spoon to mix lightly but
well, until mixture is almost fluffy.
- Spoon mixture into the greased loaf
tin.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if using.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 50
minutes - 1 hour, or until loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
To vary - Add 60g roughly chopped pecan
nuts or walnuts. Alternatively, try adding 60g sunflower seeds or
raisins.
Makes : 1 loaf
