Paratha Recipes

Ingredients :

2 cups wholemeal flour

1 cup self-raising flour

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup butter or ghee

a little water

Method :

Sift flours into a bowl and add salt. Knead flour with 4 tsp ghee and water to a soft dough. Keep dough covered with a damp cloth for 30 minutes, then knead again till soft. Take small portions of dough and roll it out lightly on a floured surface. Brush with ghee and fold into a square. Repeat this process 2-3 times and roll it out again. Place paratha on a hot griddle and add a little ghee on the sides till they turn golden brown, then turn over. Serve hot with curry.
