Method :

Preheat oven to 180C and grease a 30 x
25cm Swiss roll tin.

In a pan, combine dates, sugar, butter
and water.

Heat until boiling, stirring to
dissolve sugar.

Reduce heat, simmer, stirring for 5
minutes until dates are soft.

Remove from heat, stir in chocolate
until melted.

Set aside to cool.

Beat in eggs, one at a time.

Stir in flour alternately with orange
juice and milk until mixture is well blended.

Fold in chopped walnuts.

Spread evenly into prepared tin and
bake for about 30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the centre
comes out clean.

Cool completely and cut into small
squares to serve.
