Cut
Chinese water chestnut into thin slices. Work 2
cups of water into Chinese water chestnut powder. Set aside. Put 3 1/3
cups of water, sugar, Chinese water chestnut slices and oil into a
pot. Bring to
the boil. Lower heat. Blend in water chestnut powder solution
slowly. Keep stirring in one direction until mixtures thickens.
Transfer to cake tray. Steam over high heat for 25 minutes. Allow to
cool and cut into thick slices. Serve cold or hot.
